What is Validation?

Validation is a series of testing activities designed to assure the conformity of equipment to internally established standards and to regulatory requirements.  Validation is an examination, by an independent, un-biased party, designed to provide a high level of confidence in a system or process. 

What is the purpose of Validation?

The purpose of validating equipment is to insure that the equipment is dependable and is working according to the manufacturer’s specification, as per the customers’ specification and as per all regulatory requirements. 

What types of equipment require Validation?

Depending on the type of industry you work in, there are different regulatory requirements.  IIS specializes in the pharmaceutical industry; however, we are not limited to the pharmaceutical industry.
